It is however essential to recognize that cricket gear may naturally exhibit wear and tear over time due to the sport’s demands. Slight damage such as face cracks or slight dents on bats is considered normal, as English Willow is naturally soft. However, this damage can be minimized with proper preparation, usage, care, and maintenance. The same applies to soft leather goods such as gloves, pads etc. Frequent use of such goods encourages the growth of fungus that dries out the leather. Over time, extensive damage can occur such as weakening of stitching and overall fabric.
As the recipient of the product, you have the obligation to take reasonable care while the product is in your possession. Failure to take good care of the product before returning will void any refunds or exchanges that you might have been eligible for.
You have 7 calendar days to return or exchange a product from the date you originally received it. To be eligible for either of the above, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must also be in the original packaging and needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase. We cannot accept goods that have been used even once, or have had their original manufacturing packaging removed. All returns carry a 10% restocking fee.
Before sending a return, you must first submit a return request to usa@brewingcricket.com. Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within 7-10 working days, depending on your card issuer's policies.
Orders can be canceled prior to packing, shipping or removal of manufacturer packaging, though a restocking fee of 10% will apply in this case as well. Products that require any custom work such as bat knocking, bat oiling, toe guard installation or the application of bat face sheets for example cannot be canceled once the customization work has been carried out. And no refunds will be issued for any of these services in the event of a return or an exchange.
We do not accept any returns or exchanges for Cricket bats, unless there is a manufacturing defect or if the bat was damaged during shipping to the customer. In any such instance, we strongly recommend you send us an unboxing video while opening your package, to aid with your issue. Without an unboxing video, we will not be able to accept a return/exchange or provide a refund.
Shipping charges:
The shipping charges associated with returning a product are non-refundable. You are responsible for covering the shipping costs and assuming the risk of loss or damage during transit, both when returning the item and when it is in our possession.
Additionally, if your original order qualified for free shipping and the refund brings the total order value below the threshold for free shipping, shipping charges will be deducted from the refund amount.
In case of an item exchange, the customer is responsible for covering shipping charges both for shipping the original product to us (return shipping) and for us to ship the new product to you (onward shipping). Only after the onward shipping charge is paid will we be able to ship the new product to you.
Damaged items:
If you have received a damaged/defective product, please contact us immediately for assistance. Each instance of a damaged/defective product will be investigated by us on a case-by-case basis. In most instances, we might have to reach out to the manufacturer. So, please expect this process to take 15-30 business days at the least.
If the product is proven to be defective, we will cover all shipping charges related to sending a replacement to you. This also applies in the instance of an incorrect product shipped by us to you.
Cricket bats are manufactured using willow, and their durability is subject to proper usage. It is essential for customers to handle the bats correctly to avoid breakage. Consequently, if a customer fails to use the bat appropriately and it breaks due to improper usage, they will be held accountable for the damage incurred.
Sale items:
Sale/discounted/reduced priced items are not eligible for refunds. Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Furthermore, no refunds are issued for any bat knocking services carried out in the event of a return. Services like knocking, toe guard installation, toe binding, and scuff sheet application, among others, are also non-refundable.
